OUR GOALS

 

• To promote funeral cooperatives and mutual enterprises at the local, national and international levels through the values and principles of the cooperative movement
• To create a global network of funeral cooperatives and mutual enterprises, so that they can share, communicate and grow together
• To publicize the funeral sector within the cooperative movement and promote to the International Cooperative Alliance the importance of recognizing the funeral movement as a full-fledged sector of the cooperative movement.

 

OUR ACTIONS

 

Ongoing projects:

• Representations with the International Cooperative Alliance
• Worldwide Directory of Funeral Cooperatives and Mutual Enterprises
• Preparation of the International Meeting in October 2014

 

The actions are carried out by the International Committee of Funeral Cooperatives and Mutuals, in a spirit of mutual respect and inter-cooperation.

The Committee is comprised of representatives of the following organizations:

• Federation of Funeral Cooperatives of Québec, Canada.
• Los Olivos, Colombia.
• Corporación de Servicios Múltiples del Magisterio Nacional, Costa Rica.
• SERVIPERU, Perou.
• Cooperativa de Servicios funebres de Puerto-Rico.
• People's Memorial Funeral Cooperative, USA.
• Midcounties Cooperative, Funeral Sector, United Kingdom.
